DriverSkills Chauffeur Driver Training
This training is specifically designed for chauffeurs or professional drivers who would like to develop their driving skills in any area.

The training is available in most UK areas dependent on the course option chosen.
Who Will Carry Out The Training?
As with all DriverSkills courses, the training is provided by professionals who are skilled and experienced in the particular area they are training in.
DriverSkills' On Road Trainers
Our on road team are all fully qualified Driving Standards Agency approved Advanced Driving Instructors.
Skid Control And Vehicle Dynamics Trainers
We use only professional motorsport instructors with race or rally driving experience for this specialised area of training.
Security Driving Instructors
The instructors for this part of the training have provided training for teams of body guards who look after Heads of State. They have also trained teams of Special Forces soldiers in a wide range of specialised driving techniques.

Training Options
A choice of 1, 2 or 3 day courses provides the opportunity to match the training exactly to your needs.
The 1 Day Course
This course combines on road defensive driving techniques with off road vehicle dynamic handling techniques.
Beginning with an initial assessment drive to identify individual training needs, the days programme then focuses on developing safer and smoother driving techniques. Participants are also taught advanced defensive driving skills to enhance passenger comfort, create less stress for the driver, reduce fuel consumption and improve journey safety.
During the day participants also visit one of our off road venues (venue dependent on start location) and learn a variety of vehicle dynamic handling techniques. Some of the techniques include:
- Correct Vehicle Balance
- Effective Braking
- Limit Point
- ABS Utilisation
- High Speed Handling
- Smoother Cornering
The 2 Day Course
This programme aims to develop increased knowledge and understanding in a wide range of driving skills including skid control and passenger security. Participants will learn skid control skills from a motorsport instructor and anti hi-jack techniques from a Special Forces driver trainer.
Beginning with an initial assessment drive to identify individual training needs, the days programme then focuses on developing safer and smoother driving techniques. Participants are also taught advanced defensive driving skills to enhance passenger comfort, create less stress for the driver, reduce fuel consumption and improve journey safety.
During the day participants also visit one or more of our off road venues (venues dependent on start location) and learn a variety of vehicle dynamic handling techniques. Some of the techniques include:
- Correct Vehicle Balance
- Effective Braking
- Limit Point
- ABS Utilisation
- High Speed Handling

- Smoother Cornering
Also security techniques some of which include:
- High Speed Reversing
- J -Turns
- The Theory Of Vehicle Ramming
- Swerve and Avoid Techniques
The 3 Day Course (Accredited)
This course is exactly the same as the 2 day course, only with another days training, purely concentrating on advanced on road driving in preparation for the RoSPA test.
