This fleet driver training course is designed for company car or van drivers and teaches defensive driving skills. The course will introduce Advanced Driving Techniques to your fleet drivers which will help to improve their awareness and observation skills in all traffic situations and weather conditions.
Training Adapted to Your Budget
Fleet driver training courses are available as full day or half day sessions. The half day course covers a wide range of safer driving techniques. The full day course gives the participant more time to absorb the information and practice the new driving techniques, it also covers the eco-driving or fuel saving driving techniques in more detail.
To ensure that your drivers and company get the most from the time spent with our trainers our fleet driver courses follow a set format:
1/ Driver Initial Assessment
This first part of the course allows our trainers to assess your driver's habits this will establish areas for the main part of the training to concentrate on.
2/ Defensive Driving Skills
The main part of the training involves defensive and advanced driving skills these are methods which encourage the driver to control the position and speed of the vehicle safely and smoothly and adapting to the road and traffic. This skill requires a positive and courteous attitude along with a high standard of driving competence based on concentration, effective all round observation, anticipation and planning.
3/ Fuel Efficient Driving Techniques
Your drivers will be encouraged to drive in a more eco-friendly and fuel efficient way and with more mechanical sympathy to the vehicle. These techniques have many cost benefits to your company. More details...
4/ Written Driving Assessment
A written report, based on the participants' performance will be produced at the end of the session, risk areas are highlighted and if required, further training is recommended. Copies of the Risk Assessments are provided for line managers.
How To Book
Booking on road courses is really simple, we need:
- The drivers name
- Their location
- Contact Number
- Available dates
Our office team will then organise the rest of the booking. On completion of the course a training report on your fleet drivers' performance in the session is forwarded to you. The training is available in most UK mainland areas 7 days a week.
