This defensive driving course provided by our DSA Approved Fleet Driver Training Instructors is designed for company car or van drivers. It teaches on road defensive driving skills which will improve your employee's awareness and observation skills and so reduce their driver risk level.  

We also provide courses for private individuals 

Meeting Your Training Needs

The training can be adapted to suit your budget or the risk level of the participant. The options are either a
1:1 or 2:1 training ratio over a full day or half day as below:

1/ The Importance of Vehicle Safety Checks

First, our instructor will demonstrate how to carry out daily vehicle safety checks and discuss the importance of ensuring vehicles are safe before starting a journey.

2/ The Driver Initial Assessment

This part of the course allows our trainers to assess your driver's habits and establish which areas to
concentrate on during the main part of the training.

3/ Learning Defensive Driving Skills

The main part of the training involves learning defensive driving skills. Drivers learn
techniques which encourage them to control the position and speed of their vehicle whilst adapting to road
and traffic conditions.

4/ Encouraging Fuel Efficient Driving Techniques

Your company drivers will be encouraged to drive in a more eco-friendly and fuel efficient way and with
more mechanical sympathy to the vehicle. These techniques have many cost benefits to your company.

5/ The Written Driving Assessment

A written report, based on the participant's performance and including
risk areas and recommendations for further training, is produced at the
end of the session.

What Should You Provide?

A suitable, roadworthy and fully insured vehicle. All drivers must hold a full drivers licence for the vehicle they will be driving. In some areas we can also provide on road training vehicles. 

How To Book Defensive Driving Courses 

Booking on road courses is really simple, we need:

• The drivers name
• Their location
• Contact Number
• Available dates

Our office team will then organise the rest of the booking. On completion of the course a training report is forwarded to the company. The training is available in most UK mainland areas 7 days a week.   

Location

The start location for the training can be at your premises or any mutually agreed location.
